Can you believe that music inpires me?!
I love listening to music. Music is excellent for long drives, working, studying, cleaning, relaxing, waking up to, and having fun.
I studied classical music on the piano for 10 years and started out as a music major in college. During that time, I also gave piano lessons to children. However, I found that it's rare to find a student who is truly self-motivated to learn how to play the piano which takes discipline, commitment, and time management. The desire to play must come from the student and not their parents.
Currently, I'm finally learning to play acoustic guitar. After working with a few different teachers, I found the perfect fit for me. I'm excited to keep progressing!
Personal Interests and Hobbies
My family enjoys spending weekends at our Orondo home: boating and water sports, enjoying the sun and river view, our theater room and entertaining friends.
I love taking pictures of our puppies (we will always call them puppies) and my friends/family would be shocked if I didn't have my camera with me! The 2002 holiday photo shoot was a success with Bo and Misty wearing santa hats!
As an adult, country dancing has been an important part of my life for the past 24 years. This activity helped me become more independent and confident socially in my early 20's. It's hard to explain, but the dancing became a positive outlet for me--a way to deal with stress. Just listening to an upbeat song makes me want to dance!
Other things I enjoy include: evening walks with our girls, hand-stamping cards and scrapbooking, photography, darts and pool, movies, cooking, STOMPERS, iced-mochas, sunsets and poker.
We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements in life, when all that we need to make us really happy is something to be enthusiastic about.
